locating mail

Hi

I've a Linux server (Redhat 9) running sendmail as smtp. In
/var/log/messages i see that one of our mailaccounts seems to have recieved
a message, but when I log in to that mail account no mail have been
recieved.
Are there any files like mail queues where I can find information about this
messages that was recieved. I don't need info about the message contend, but
info if it was send to an mail alias that doesn't exist on the system or
similar.

Better look into /var/log/maillog

What's the meaning of "seems"? Posting the relevant parts of log files
provides much more info that this assumption.

/usr/lib/sendmail -bv such_mailaccount
