Hi All,

we have a 2003 server which is used as Terminal Server where users are
conecting to do book-keeping, and it is essential for them to be able to
print.

But I noticed that some users don't get their local printers attached when
make a Remote Desktop session? I mean, som users get all their printers,
some get none, and some get only some of their local printers (i.e. MS
document writer)...? (yes, I checked TS settings in the user profiles, and
on the TS server)

On the net I found an article describing that it is due to the fact that the
local printer port doesn't begin with LTP, ... and they suggest either
renaming printer port to begin with one of those words, or making some
registry changes. I did both on the local computer, but no help.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Zoran

Make sure the clients are using the latest Remote Desktop client (v6), and
try posting your question in microsoft.public.windows.terminal.services for
the most expert help.

Any errors in the Event Viewer? You may need to load the printer driver in the server.

You generally want to avoid doing that on a TS box.
