local administrator without sufficient privileges

I'm trying to install a wireless network card on a computer that used to be
part of a domain but is no longer part of a domain. If I log in as the local
administrator and try to install the network card, it tells me that I don't
have sufficient privileges. The Administrator account is part of the
administrators group.

Any thoughts?

You should try posting to the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web newsgroup. This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software only.
