Lmhosts/NetBIOS do not care about FQDNs only
the NetBIOS name. Are they the same?

Yes, they are. This is the problem... Both domains have the same netbios
name

My sentiments exactly. This is precisely what you should do, before you move
any other projects ahead.

Go to the MS site and search for "domain rename". You'll find lots of info,
and some "how-to's"

Good luck, and make backups before you do anything. The process can be
reasonably simple, or very complicated, depending on your situation. Make
sure you read all the literature at least once.

Thank you. Unfortunately the Win 2003 domain is HQ, and can't be renamed.
We'll try to overpass the problem in other way.

Well then I am afraid you may be out of luck. Let us know how you make
out.
