I need help and info on the above subject. I have a
network of 35 users and the hubs/switches seem to be very
active and slowing the network down. I believe that if the
lmhost.sav file is changed and saved as a lmhost.txt file
with the addition of my servers ip address and name, this
will help stop the network protocols from polling the
network for answers. Is this true?
Please help.

Sean

Hi Sean,

The LMHOSTS file should be save as "LMHOSTS" with NO file extension. the
lmhosts.sam is just a sample.

Thanks,
