Llinksys wrt54g...anyone having problems

I just upgraded from the BEFW11S4 to the WRT54g...same location no
enviornmental changes

I also upgraded my adpater.

Not I cant get anywhere near connecting to the AP. Can barely get an IP
cant ping the AP.

Have you upgraded the firmware in the WRT54g?
