Hi,
I'm a linux lover and a student of this OS. I dont have hands on
experience on Linux System administration since i'm still studying.
However i want to administer my Linux (Custom Built, LFS inspired) as
professionally as possible. If one or more of you all wonderful people
are intrested i'm thinking about starting a blog where we can share our
knowledge. I have not yet created the blog, i'll do it if i get
favorable responces from you all.
By doing this, i hope to gain knowledge and also share the same with
the community. My aim is crystal clear: To understand the working of
firewalls, system audit, configuring services with security in mind. In
doing so i hope a lot of novice and wanna be system admins can get
useful information.

Thanks,
Masood Ahmed.

PS: My system is getting compiled now. By tomorrow morning it'll be up
and running. I got dynamic IP so scanning my system will be bit hard
but i'll post my ip as frequently as possible. If some one wants to
build their own linux system please visit www.linuxfromscratch.org (I'm
using a modified 5.1 version, will shift to 6.1.1 as soon as possible).
Also will post my GPG public key tommorrow, I'm sorry

Sound good, my $.02 set it up like a log/howto, for newbies as I found
thouse types of resources more helpful, as I am still newbieish. good
resources on sys-admin, net-adim, and security resouses from a newbie
point of view is not easy to find.

Thanks for the reply. I got your point. But a blog would be easier to
read, that's why i suggested it. Anyway your opinions are welcomed.

Hi,
I've created a new blog. Check it out here :
http://linsysadmin.blogspot.com/

Within 12hrs I'll post full details bout my system also will try to
summarise what needs to be done. Also if you'd like to share your
system info on my blog you are most welcome. But dont reveal too much
unless it's a machine belonging to you and not a critical system.
