totally new to networking some linux/unic pressed for time

i am helping some on in Eritria

he wants to set up a training classroom using linux and wants the
teacher from his linux box see the display of a user and wants at times
the entidre classroom of linux machines see his desktop

wants to do things like teach openoffice applictions and walk students thru

I use the X vnc module, it works great.

Do a web search for "vnc". The vnc server and client probably come with
most Linux version if installed. The server runs as sort of another X
server in the background. You can control whether connecting clients can
just view or interact with it.

There are also VNC clients or servers for Windows, so it can even be used
cross platform between different OS's, or even from a Java client in a web
browser in most any OS. Handy for remote control of mixed machines.
