Hi NG,

I'm going crazy with the configuration of the wireless device in SUSE
8.2

I tried to set up Linux to work as an Access Point for Wireless LAN,
bridging all frames to the Ethernet Interface - A WiFi-Ethernet Bridge
so to say.

Ok, first of all, I installed the PCI Card (ELSA Airlancer 11 PCI -
mainly a Lucent PCMCIA Card plugged in a PCMCIA to PCI Adapter). I
configured SUSE to use eth1 with wavelan2_cs in "Managed Mode" and
everything works fine. LAN and Internet working very well.

After this "main Test", I changed the WIRELESS_MODE from MANAGED to
MASTER (as described in all the manuals). And iwconfig gave me Error
"SET failed on device eth1, Invalid Argument" (8B06)...

As far as I concerne, one of the drivers doesn't support to work as a
HOSTAP - Access Point Mode - Mode='MASTER' :-(

Can you point out the way I cold clearify this...

Does this missing support baed on the
WIRELESS-TOOLS (25-35)?
pcmcia?
wavelan2_cs?

Can somebody enlight me?
