linux script from windows

a question. my linux is dialing to an ISP. there is a network too with
other winXP computers. i want to establish a winXP desktop icon which
makes linux running a script (e.g.->isdnctrl dial ippp0) to dial to an ISP.

is the answer a smb server where i can start a remote-script from
windows to dial and to hangup and maybe telling me if i am online or not?

Something like http://landialler.sourceforge.net/ ? FYI, I simply searched
on freshmeat.net for "dial control".
