I haven't tried with Windows DNS servers. But I have gotten DDSN
working with bind/ISC dhcp. And, we use Windows DNS and Windows DHCP at
work, so I'm at least familiar with all the components...
The first thing I would try is to set the Windows DNS servers to not
require Secure updates, which I think is the default config, at least
when Active Directory is involved.
Doing a little searching, I found the following :

It doesn't specifically say that insecure updates will work, but that is
implied. Note that allowing insecure updates may or may not be
acceptable in your environment. But if that "fixes" it, at least you'll
know what the issue was.

Even though it isn't about bind, you may want to check in
comp.protocols.dns.bind since there's a fair number of posts there about
ddns. There are also the MS news groups...microsoft.public.win2000.dns
may be another good place to start.
