Hello,
I've built a small cluster out of off the shelf components. It
consists of four AthlonXP 2400+ nodes with not much but the core
components and a network card. I'm using my main workstation as a
control machine. All five machines are running Linux (Slackware 9.0).
They are all conected to a five port switch. The control machine has
two NICs (one <eth0> is connected to a network and the other <eth1> is
connected to the cluster).
I want to be able to conect to the cluster computers. I have no
control of the network on eth0 but I can setup the cluster network
however I want. How can I setup the NICs so that they connect to the
two networks without connecting them together (how would that work,
how do the IPs not overlap)?
I don't have much experience with this type of networking so your help
is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
