Linux/cIPe->Linksys DSL Router->Win2k Server VPN

I've searched here and the cipe archives and can't find any concise
descriptions of how to configure cipe on my Linux box at home,
connected to the Internet via a Linksys DSL Router, to connect with
the built-in VPN server on Windows 2000 Server at work. I've already
got Windows 2000 Pro running on the same box connecting through the
built-in VPN client, so I know the connectivity is fine. As far as I
know, the VPN server is configured fairly vanilla - I didn't have to
change any of the default settings for the VPN connection under Win2K.

Does anyone have any pointers to a cookbook for doing such a thing?
I'm not a networking expert but otherwise technically knowledgeable
(meaning I can change config files using a text editor to do what is
necessary.) Thanks in advance.

Is the server in the Windows box a CIPE?

CIPE does not work with the standard Microsoft VPN server, it needs another
CIPE at the other end. There is a CIPE server available for NT and W2000.

Please note that there are dozens of different ways to create a VPN tunnel -
to do it properly, a specific definition of the tunneling method is needed.

Thanks for the reply. No CIPE on the server end, just vanilla
MIcrosoft VPN server.

As I mentioned, I'm not a networking expert. How do I know which
particular tunneling method is being deployed on our MS VPN servers at
work? I didn't need to know any of this to configure my Win2K Pro
system (not a criticism of Linux, just saying it was pretty simple to
set up since Windows was on both ends.) But I'm understanding you to
say that this won't matter if we are running MS VPN at work, since
CIPE will never be able to attach to that.
