Hi !

I'm using bonding under linux with 2 100Mbps ethernet cards on each side.
I'd like to know why transfers stop when I unplug one of the 2 cables.
Although it doesn't stop transfers when I only do a ifdown on one of both
network devinterfaces. the bonding only uses one interface in this case.

Is it a bug or a bonding specific issue?

It would help if you explained your setup.

My initial guess would be one of timing. How long have you left the
cable unplugged for?

This is what the setup looks like, but it's not really a setup specific
issue....

When i unplug one of the 2 cables used for the bonding, everything stops.
Both routers run a devil-Linux 0.5 distro.

Is that clearer.
