Linux and Wireless networking

Hello

I have a couple of questions.

1) What Brand of wireless card works in Linux without having to compile
any drivers?

2)I currently have a smc 2802w wireless setup. Works great in windows,
Some linux distributions see the card, but I cannot get it activated.
Most of this due to my newness at wireless networking. Does anyone have
this card working?

3)I can get 3com 2410 PC card w/2415 pci adapter, Does anyone have this
setup and which distribution did you use?

The standard WiFi kernel module is orinoco_cs .
As this suggests, Orinoco 802.11b PCMCIA cards work will with Linux.
