Linksys WUSB54GS vs. TrendMicro PC-Cillin conflict

I did a clean install WinXP on a Dell 4500, then installed SP2. I next
installed a WUSB54GS adapter. I was able to connect just fine to my
WRT54GS, so I installed TrendMicro PC-Cillin 2005 with all the
defaults. Trend told me to restart the PC, and there is some kind of
conflict between the two. I rebooted the PC, and it looks like it is
loading Trend and looking for the network, but then it restarts the PC
itself. I tried booting into safe mode, but that won't let me uninstall
anything. Any idea how to get one or both of those off of there?
