The adapter is 11b, so should give at best 5.5kb/s = about 600KB/sec.
Typically it would be slower, depending on transmission quality. Maybe
its droppping back to a slower speed due to poor transmission.

furnace slag? Whats transmission quality like? The adapter should have
a utility to tell you that.
