Linksys WUSB11 Problems

The Host machine (Windows 98) is connected to the internet using a Cable
Modem.

The Guest machine (Windows XP Home) is hooked upto a Linksys WUSB11, as is
the Host machine.

The connection between the machines seems OK. Both are indicating that they
are connected.

The problem is that the Guest machine cannot get an Internet connection.
Also neither machine appears in the others "Network Neibourhood".

Any ideas?

Gareth

Not an expert on that specific brand, but, a few ideas:

You need to be sure that:

1) Internet Connection Sharing is activated
2) Both wireless cards are set to operate in ad-hoc mode, not via access
points
3) Both cards have same settings, i.e. encryption key, if activated
