Hello,
I am using for a while a LINKSYS WUSB11 USB wireless lan adapter to
my laptop.
For my ADSL i use a ETECH adsl ethernetrouter to which an Access
point A14 11Mbps wireless lan Access point is connected.

When i startup te network everything is working an getting from the
E-tech router an IP. Except the WUSB11.

I have a good RF connection but the IP from the router to the WUSB11
seems to go wrong. Result no IP adres from the DHCP.
When i give the WUSB11 TCP/IP a IP adres ( so now DHCP asking) it
works fine.

I have also another PC (PCI wireless adapter) working on the same
Access point . This one is working fine and gets an IP from the DHCP.
The only difference is the port. WUSB11 is USB
I think there is something with the driver for the WUSB11 at WINXP.

Has anyone the samekind of problems? Solved perhaps.
Pleas let me know.
Thanks
Jan Wilkens, PA0WJT.
The Netherlands.

What is the result of an IPCONFIG /RENEW ?

Do you get an error message?

It sounds like the access point is set up for MAC filtering and the WUSB11's
MAC hasn't been entered.

No IP cannot connect to DHCP

Cannot get IP. So no error message. My router sees the MAC adres from
the linksys but does not connect to DHCP.
