Linksys WUSB11 and Netgear router highspeed disconnects

Hi,

I have a Linksys WUSB11 2.6 card connecting to a Netgear WGR614
router. The problem I'm having with them is whenever I try and
download from a news server, I get disconnected from it but only in
that thread. That is, I can download something from the web and it
will continue to download but the NNTP feed will quit.

I've done the following to confirm it is a problem with the wireless:

1) Tried multiple news servers - same problem
2) Tried multiple news server programs - same problem
3) Tried a WIRED connection to the router - NO PROBLEM

I have the latest Linksys driver and the router is the latest
firmware. I've disabled my zonealarm and antivirus (though if I can
get it to work through the wired connection it shouldn't be a problem)
The signal strength is always excellent and it's always showing a
11Mbps connection speed.

I was thinking that it might be a problem with the high speed. My web
downloads aren't too fast but the news server connection is 2Mbps.
Nothing else I'm doing goes that quickly.

Anyway, I'm not sure what to try next. There is no security on the
network so there's no WEP/802.11 problems. The router is set to B only
(it's a G) as my card is a B. DHCP is enabled.

I've contacted Linksys and they suggested to lower the MTU but it
didn't solve the problem. They just blame the router and I suspect
Netgear will blame the card.

Any help or suggestions on what to try would be greatly appreciated.
