Linksys WSB24 with Linksys WRT54G

Why couldn't a person attach the WSB24 singal booster to the WRT54G. The WRT54G is 2.4Ghz, so shouldn't it boost the signal properly? I'm just curious. Is it FCC rules?

Got mine running on my WAP54G 4 months and works like a charm...

I'm with spectre on this one. I was told by the boner a Fry's that
they had tried the WRT54G and the WSB24 together and that it didn't
work. I bought one anyway... and guess what... works like a charm...

From what I can tell, the WSB24 isn't FCC certified to be used with
anything but a couple of routers, so Linksys is trying to keep people
from using them with anything else. Just a guess, but I'd bet that
when I use it here, if someone has a WRT54G next door, my signal boost
probably throttles them down when running in mixed mode.

But hey.. that's not my problem...
