I've successfully worked with my router wired. I just tried to access the
router wireless, but when asked for the WEP number, I realized that I don't
have it. Is there anywhere it has been recorded so I can enjoy the wireless
feature?

Thanks and regards...

This means you have wep security enabled on the router. If you go into
the router setup you will a section marked wireless security. From there
it's pretty self explanatory. Also make sure you are trying to connect to
your router and not the neighbors. WEP is normally not enabled as a
default so I have hunch you may be attempting to connect to someone
elses router.

Cheers!

Many thanks for your reply. No, it's my router, and my poor administration
(and memory). Would you be able to explain how I access the router setup
you refer to.

Thanks again.

Regards ...

Sorry ... a little slow out of the box today. I took out my router manual
and CD, reset the router, set up a new password and WEP, and am merrily
wired up. Thanks for your push in the right direction.

Regards ...

Your very welcome. Stop by the site sometime if you don't
get a quick reply from me here. I only visit the groups a
couple of times daily. Really hard to sift through the nonsense
and flames to get to the meat of issues here.

Cheers!
