I bought 2 months ago for G speeds and to replace my very good working but
aging Linksys BEFW11S4 v.4...
BIG Mistake
I have contacted tech support to hear only that it was positioned in the
wrong place...exact same working place my good working router was.
So I re-positioned it 2 ft away from all exterior and interior walls away
from any sources of magnets and other electronics...
It still disconnected me 20x a day..
Updated firmware....
It still disconnected me 20x a day..
I changed channels, passwords...nothing works for this despicable piece of
shit....
The vendor who sold it to me will not let me return it..

Can anyone please tell me what I can do with it besides using it as a
frisbee?

You might want to look into the possibility of replacing the Linksys
software with the WRT open source version. I'm not sure if your exact model
is supported but you may be able to find out by visiting the
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page web site. Possibly a post to
one of their forums if your device is not already on the approved list.

I have had problems whenever replacing a "working" wireless router
with another one. Turned out that my Internet security software must
be told to trust the new router's SSID or the software will force the
"deauthenticate" the connections.
