Has anybody seen a Linksys wireless router shut down due to a virus
infecting the router only (i.e. not a virus in an associated computer)?

i never have, but home broadband routers sure are not made good and freeze
all the time, possibly due to viruses sending dos attacks or whatever.

I think I've only had to reboot my WRT54G twice in the two or three
years I've had it. It's always on, except when we go on vacation.

i know for me my netgear RP614 i need to reboot it a lot, not every week,
but monthly maybe, sometimes not. sometimes a few times in a week. my
linksys 1 port one same thing when i used to use it. then i got a belkin
802.11g and same thing, i have to reset it sometimes.

i don't know what to do, so i had my cable modem replaced today at the
request of belkin, then if it freezes again, belkin told me to call them and
they'd try a software fix maybe. ((
