Linksys WRT54G DHCP slowness?

The only problem I've had with the WRT54G is with the DHCP
server... it appears to take a long time to dole out an IP address.

I'm using the latest firmware and have WPA enabled. The only issue I
face is that it takes a long time--perhaps 25sec for wireless clients
to be given an IP address when I do an ipconfig /renew

Anyone else see similar behavior?

Yes, same prob. I think its because it takes a finite time to establish a
wireless connection and then get an IP Address. I make all the PC's on my
network static. Was quite a bit quicker
