I might recommend getting a power conditioner for the router. I have
simular trouble out of my dlink 614+ router which I suspect could be power
troubles. I tend to have to unplug and plug back in the thing whenever I
notice the clocks have reset around the house. Sometimes I can manage to
restart from the admin page on a wired computer.
*knocks on wood* I havent had to reset mine since the summer. I suspect
we have more power flucuations in our area in the summer than winter. We
have mild winters, barely need heat (I heat my room with 2 pcs and a
candle). In the summer we see aweful temps of 110~120F through august.
I recently bought a new ups, I wish my old one didnt short it's battery
and blow a cell in the battery. I wanted to use it on the wireless access
point. For now I just have the ap on a surge surpressor on the same
breaker as my A/V equipment, 19" tv, sattlite, dvd, vcr and clock radio on
the breaker.
