I updated my laptop yesterday to the Linksys update with monitor 1.3
(driver 3.30.15.0)

Despite going through all of the config screens and re-entering all
that I could see ... I can no longer get DHCP address from my Linksys
BEFW11S4 Rev 2 (firmware 1.45 ... and has been for a long time).

NOTE - If I disable WEP on the router and change nothing at the client
then all is fine.

Another PC with different card continues to connect without problem to
the router (with same 128-bit WEP settings - as expected)

I will switch back to the old software ... later today.
Anyone else moved to the 3.30.15.0 client software and connecting over
WEP to Linksys router without problem?

Sorry, I have no good news. I tried the same drivers and were not able
to connect to my WAP54G with WEP enabled. I didn't disable WEP to test,
as that is not an option for me...

Is it possible it's WPA only?

It's possible they "forgot" to check if WEP were still working, as this
is the update that'll allow people with W2K to use WPA without
additional software (it comes with it).

Probably bugs .. not deliberate.
There are different options for WPA.

it says that it is "connected" and if I deliberately put in the wrong
WEP key then it has exactly the same symptom ...
If I give it the right WEP key and static IP address .... cannot ping
teh gateway ...

The hex presentaiton of the key is exactly the same as on the gateway.
However, I see that the text beside the passphrase says that there
should be fewer than 16 characters ... mine is not and never was
before ... tried changing ... same result ...then changed it back
again.

I have put a question into the Linksys support queue.
