Hi,
We're new to wireless. Got a linksys WRT54g and WPC54G for the laptop. The
install program failed to copy some files to the laptop so it was
aborted.Subsequent install said programs and drivers already installed,
uninstall from blahblahblah. Did the uninstall - which did nothing. A
reinstall gets the same nmessage. very frustrating. Anyone know how to
uninstall/reinstall linksys drivers for WPC54G PCMCIA card ?

O.K. I don't know but I do have some thoughts.

If you have a Texas Instruments CardBus Controller, there is a note on the
driver download page about that.

The one experience I had with a similar situation was that the software was
listed in the Add/Remove software window, but would not uninstall or
reinstall. I had to do a registry search for the exact string and delete
it. The next install went fine. Word of warning, messing up the registry
can mess up your computer.

You might try doing the uninstall in safe mode. If it is a device, it might
show up there when it won't in normal mode.

You can try to update the driver from device manager. Did the installer
leave an installation folder C:\Linksys or something like that? When
you update, select to let you choose the driver and then browse to the
install folder. You can also mount the installation CD and direct the
driver search to the CD.
