System: Dell Dimension 4100, WinMe, IE 6.0 SP1 (Intel chipset 815E)
Router: Linksys WRT54G (firmware is latest V1.42.3)
Card: Linksys WMP54G
(driver is from CD which is newer than what is on their
website!,
BCMWL5.SYS v3.30.15.0)

Has anybody gotten this to work on their system?

I am able to see other systems on my LAN but IE dies with an unknown error
at times and I cannot get to a website. Config parameters are setup
correctly (SSID, WEP, etc.)

If I double click on the card monitor that starts up with the system, I
occasionally get the BSOD with an error in VWIN32. VWM32(05)+000012D0
Error: 0E : 0028 : C02A44A8

The system with the WMP54G is 6 feet from the router and the signal strength
this monitor shows (before it dies) is a little over half ! What the heck
good is that? I would expect to see a full strength signal at this
distance. This thing needs to go on another floor eventually so I have
concerns if this card is any good.

I've been bangin' the ol' head for days trying to get this to work, looking
everywhere for solutions but have found none. Given the weak signal
strength and all these problems I'm ready to take this POS back and try a
Netgear wireless card.

Any recommendations, suggestions, prayers or incantations welcome! HELP!!

Well, finally decided to rebuild the system and all is well.

Signal strength and quality is at 80% when I'm 6' away. Hope it works when
I move it to another floor. Anybody have any cases where it didn't?
