He means, "has the card passed the WiFi Alliance certification tests, which
entitles them to put a sticker on their box claiming that interoperability
has been tested?".
The certification test suite for 802.11g is only a month or two old, and
there are probably many products that haven't been fully tested yet. I'm
sure there's a bunch of product in the retail pipeline that won't be
qualified to get the sticker without an upgrade.

I couldn't find a single Linksys product on the list, but that doesn't mean
that their products don't work or don't interoperate, just that they haven't
completed testing yet.
