Linksys WMP54G Freezes PCs

This PCI wireless G card freezes two different PCs when plugged into
any PCI slot. No beep, no video. Take out the card and the PC is fine.
I took it back to the store and of course it worked.

There are a couple of postings with the same problem but no answer
yet. The Linksys web site makes no references to the card stopping a
PC from booting.

Can anyone shed some light on any special requirements. Linksys
replied that their card will work in any PCI slot ver 2.1 or 2.2.
