Linksys Wireless WMP54G Card On Fedora 4 ?

Hi Guys 'n Gals,

I upgraded my wife to a new PC and now I've got her old one for Linux
experiments. Let the games begin !

I installed Fedora 4 with no problems but I can't figure out how to get the
wireless card from Linksys to work. Fedora's FAQ says use the Internet
Druid, which I tried. But the first thing you must do is select your
wireless card from a list and I did not see any Linksys cards in that list.
Does someone else make the card for Linksys and that name could be found in
the list?

I also looked at Network Manager per the FAQ and it appears to be a facility
to allow quick switching between different wireless networks which I don't
need because I'll be using this box at home only.

I suspect there is some little piece of information that will make this all
work easily but I don't know what I'm looking for.

Any advise?

I think you'll have to use ndiswrapper, a program that takes Windows drivers for wireless cards and lets the Linux kernel talk to them. I use it for my Linksys WMP54GS and it works perfectly.

The documentation on the ndiswrapper website is good, distro specific docs are most likely a quick Google away.
