i'm trying to get a linksys PCI wireless B card (WMP11) to work with RH9 on
a PIII 866. i've installed the kernel-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre14.i686.rpm,
kernel-wlan-ng-modules-rh9.27-0.2.1-pre14.i686.rpm, and
kernel-wlan-ng-pci-0.2.1-pre14.i686.rpm
packages. when the pci rpm package
installed it said it couldn't find the hardware. when i ran modprobe on the
module it said likewise. the system log entry when i rebooted gave:

Feb 21 23:22:17 catalyst ifup: prism2_pci device wlan0 does not seem to be
present, delaying initialization.

lspci shows the device as an unknown ethernet device. windows calls it a
INPROCOMM IPN2120. do i have the correct packages? if so, what's the
problem? thanks for the help

Check out http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz

Looks like your card uses an InProComm chipset, not a Prism chipset
compatible with the wlan-ng driver.

that device is listed but the page gives no info re: drivers for it. do you
know if that chipset's supported?

Not by wlan-ng. Not by any Linux driver, AFAIK.
