Linksys WAP54G and WMP54G - >1 Network Available

Hi,

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find the
answer, so here goes:

I have a Linksys WAP54G and an XP Pro desktop using a Linksys WMP54G card.
All is great for a while and then suddenly the connection drops saying:
"there is more than one wireless network available"
But there is only one - mine.

So, this is Zero Config sticking it's nose in and scanning - yes?
Irritating, as there is no need to scan for anything as I am connected.

I've tried turning this off (services.msc etc etc) and configuring my TCP/IP
settings manually, but I don't get a connection to the AP when I restart the
machine.

Does anyone have an idiot ( :-> ) proof step-by-step way of stopping this
from happening?

I've seen a post in a newsgroup saying that there is a 'Do not scan whilst
connected' option under Device Manager but there doesn't seem to be that
option for this card.

I do not seem to have an installable version of the Linksys WLAN monitor
either - would anyone know where I can download this? (Do I need to bother
with this?) The install2k.exe that came with the card doesn't install
anything...

Cheers,
Dave
