I have a Linksys WAP11 v1.4 wireless access point,
along with a Linksys BEFSX41 router.
I also have downloaded and installed the WallWatcher software
to capture the SNMP status msgs from the Linksys router.
http://www.sonic.net/wallwatcher/

I was wondering how the router sends the SNMP traps ?
Is it setup by default to send those traps out on the broadcast address
?
or did Wallwatcher somehow create/define those traps ?

Next - the Linksys WAP11 - using the SNMP config utility -
it shows a "trap log" window, but there is nothing ever displayed.
Does something need to be done to activate the SNMP traps
on the Linksys WAP11 ?

tnx - SNMP logging is new to me,
and I keep thinking of "traps" as those "bad" breakpoints in
programming,
vs a standing order to broadcast "normal" information -

Phil -
