Hi,
I'm trying to get a colleague's 1MB ADSL working with a Linksys WAG54G
modem/router. The router works fine on at least 2 512K ADSL lines, but
I don't even get the DSL light turning green on the 1MB line. Of course, the
1MB line works fine when used with the BT Voyager ADSL modem..

I've checked and rechecked that the router is set up correctly. I've used
another identical router (supplied by work, we have 400 or so of them..)
with the same results. I can't find anything on Linksys site either saying
or denying that the kit will work with 1MB ADSL.

Can anyone help?

thanks and regards
Mike

Mine works fine on 4mb ADSL, so wouldn't have thought that was the problem.
It's nothing simple such as incorrect username and password is it? Have you
upgraded the firmweare to the latest version on the Linksys web site?

If you can, try the bt test account:

Thanks for the tip. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version, and now
the router connects to the internet.
However, I can't get it to connect to our company's VPN, unlike all the
other routers which connect fine. Hmmm.

Cheers
Mike
