I have recently bought some wireless Linksys stuff and was unable to
get it to work. The support staff at linksys have todate ignored 9
emails and are trying to avoid the incident. They are USELESS! Beware
of their products!

Hopefully, you provided them with a little more information regarding the
problem...than you did here?

Most Linksys stuff can be used out of the box. Not always the best/safest
way, but it works.
Agree, Linksys Support is used to answer with 'do a reset' so maybe you
should be glad they ignored your mails.
What did you bought and why isn't it working?

Do what I did last year, call the company president -- I got plenty of
support then.

Sorry to hear about the problems you had. My personal experience with the
Linksys WRT54G wireless router has been very good in the five months since I
purchased it.

I had a good chat experience last night in terms of attitude (no
solution), but I had a nightmare one a couple weeks before, I used
their feedback web page to send some feedback, and a few days later it
came back bouncing as undeliverable... from their own web page... The
phone tree, last I tried, no matter which button you push it hangs up
on you...

Your mileage may vary...

It's now part of Cisco Systems so should get better. It was formerly the US
based part of Taiwan company D-Link (D-Link Systems=Linksys)

Can you be more specific about your Linksys problem, besides their
unresponsiveness to your emails. My WAP11 Access Point works better than I
ever expected, so I was not unfortunate enough to need to contact their
support staff.

I chatted with one of their techs yesterday morning. I wasn't too happy
with the answer, but at least I got a response.

In addition, all my Linksys gear has always worked, and whenever it
hasn't, I've simply downgraded the firmware to the last known working
version...
