I'm looking for help with setting up wireless internet connection.

PC runs windows xp and has the usb adaptor set to ad hoc. Everything appears
to be fine there - excellent signal strength etc.

The laptop has the linksys card which again appears fine. Laptop runs
windows 2000. Excellent signal strength and quality.

Despite appearances saying all is well, I cannot get the laptop to connect.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Thanks in anticipation.

Could there be any security/firewall access issues?

Having checked firewall doesn't seem to be a problem. I have checked boxes
to share connection etc too.
