I'm getting pretty disgusted with Linksys tech support.I was trying to set
up 2 Wap11 2.6 one as AP one as repeater. After
trying for an hour the tech told me to get another Wap11 as
mine was defective.I thought not, but ran to the store exchanged it,called
another tech,still wouldn't work.Emailed tech support,no reply.The set up
goes fine,but I don't see any
improvement in signal strength (with the windows tool tray meter).Even right
on top of the repeater it still says "low".I had a stray thought that maybe
the repeater does work but just doesn't show up on the signal strength
graph,as it is still reading the Acess Point, not the repeater point.I this
possible?
Linksys tech didn't seem to know, thanks,Adythemic

Personally, I would use the WET11 (make sure you use the latest
firmware). I assume you want the following:

PC - - - - WAP11 (or WET11) - - - - - WAP11-router

Well first off, make sure both WAPs have seperate IP addresses. I
don't know anything about the WAPs, but I do know that the bridge
(WET11) does have a "signal view" function. You can check you're
connectivity by pinging either wap or your router. This won't tell
you what your signal strengh is but you would be able to confirm
connectivity.

Hope this helps,
Scott
