Linksys signal booster help!

Just bought and attached a Linksys wireless signal booster to my Linksys
BEFW11S4 AP/router.
Everything appears to be working fine but my Gateway laptop with built in
wireless can seem to
find the access point. My other desktop with the linksys USB wireless
adapter doesn't have a problem
either. Net stumbler on the laptop doesn't detect the AP.

Any help appreciated!!

That may be the problem! The signal booster not only boots the transmit
signal level, it also has a preamp on the receive side. This would make it
much more sensitive to your neighbor's interference.

Try changing the channel you're using, to get further down, or up, the
spectrum, from his device.

Only one of the antennas is a transmit antenna, but both of them are
diversity receive antennas. Could be that the wire that connects the single
transmit terminal is bad. Or that one of the two sides of the booster is
fried. Try switching the connection cables between the router and the
booster and see what happens. I believe the left hand antenna output as you
face the front of the router is the transmit. By the way, you can change the
antenna properties on the web setup for the router if you want but I don't
think that is your problem. Changes include diversity reception on and off
and another one I can't remember.
