4 computers on a home network, mix of cable and wirless connections. I loose
internet and network signal on an regular basis on teh wireless side. There a
few different issues to note.

I can force the loss of network signal by dragging a large number of files
accross the network, the network will sometimes crash. A reboot of the router
resolves this.

The signal sometime holds for several hours without problem if information
is being received from the interent - say radio signals. Immediately I cut
the downlaod and return to it I loose the internet signal, but not
necessarily the network signal.

When previewing available networks I can sometimes see my SSID but I can not
log on without rebooting the router or PC or both.

Rebooting the Router always resolves the problem but is inconvenient.

Are you broadcasting the SSID? Many have reported random connectivity
problems if this is turned off.
Under your routers Advanced Wireless settings, try setting the "BasicRate"
to "Any" instead of "Default." I've found this helps prevent failure of
large file transfers over wireless.
