I have a Linksys WRT54G 4-port wireless router connected to my wired desktop
and wireless laptop. There is a WAN LED on the front panel and it is lit.
The manual says that it lights whenever there is a successful wireless
connection.

The laptop is turned OFF, so I expected that LED to be OFF. Any idea why
it is on???

Thanks, CB

That is not what the manual says. It says the light is lit when
wireless is ENABLED.

Travis -

Thanks for your reply. You are correct. That's what the Users Manual that I
got to online says.

This is from the manual that came on the CD with the product.

WLAN Green. The WLAN LED lights up whenever there is a successful wireless
connection If the LED
Is flashing, the Router is actively sending or receiving data
over the network.

I wonder what else is wrong????

It took me all day Sunday to connect it. The install CD wouldn't connect my
laptop. The install program that I downloaded kept getting into an endless
loop. I finally did it manually.
