Linksys Equip - Internet Explorer - Connection - Problem

I "successfully" networked three computers.

Computer "A" (Sony VAIO/Win XP) is hard-wired to the Linksys WRT54G
Router
Computer "B" (Sony Vaio Laptop) with Wirless-G WPC54G.
Computer "C" (Win 98 - Pent II) - Hard-wired to the Linksys WRT54G
Router.

I have successfully connected to the Internet with all three.
I use the Network to share DSL Internet.

At the end of the evening, I turn off the DSL Westell modem and
Linksys WRT54G Router. (Computers are also turned off)

When I reboot the computers and turn on the router and DSL modem, I
open up Internet Explorer and I get a message "Page can not be
displayed." I can't connect with other programs either like MSN
Messenger or Yahoo Messenger.
On the laptop - I see on the taskbar that the wireless network is
showing up.

I have to hit the "reset" button on the router and sometimes I have to
turn the modem on and off. Sometimes I need to reboot the computers.

Is there a sequence of steps I should follow to prevent this from
happening?

I already tried turning on the Modem and Router first then the
computers, but that doesn't work either.

Right now - all my computers work fine.

I really don't want to leave the modem and router on all of the time.
Can I avoid this?

Thanks

John

I leave the BEFW11S4 router and the Linksys modem plugged into a Belkin UPS
system and they have been on 24/7 over two years for the most part.

There is nothing like good study power clean of spikes.

You don't have a TV set there and that equipment doesn't like being turned
on and off like that.

I also so plug my main desktop into the UPS and it's up 24/7 too.

The only time I have turned the stuff off is when I am on vacation and no
one is there for that time frame.

HTH
