Linksys BEFW11S4 ver. 4 firmware 1.50 question

Anyone using the 1.50 firmware on this box? Does your Status webpage
show firmware 1.45.3?

I recently updated my Linksys BEFW11S4 ver. 4 box with the code.bin
file from the version 1.50 December 2003 firmware
befw11s4v4-fw-150.zip package from the Linksys web site.

I loaded code.bin via the firmware update web page. The next page I
saw after the update loaded was a 404 not found...which I figured was
just the router rebooting itself after the update.

Oddly though, Linksys Status web page says "1.45.3, Jul 1 2003"
instead of the 1.50 and December dates I was expecting. The firmware
update apparently remembered all my customization settings (WEP,
passwords, etc)...which I was a bit surprised about since I'm used to
firmware updates blowing away customizations in other manufacturer's
gear.

Does anyone using 1.50 see something similar, or did I goof the
firmware update somehow? If I did, I managed to screw it up twice in
a row.

I just uploaded two of them using the TFTP.EXE program and they both
show the new version in the upper right corner as well as the new GUI.

Try the TFTP.EXE instead and see if that doesn't help. Also, what
browser did you use. Many of the Linksys only support IE for the restore
setting and I would bet for firmware as well.

IE 6.x under XP.

Thanks for the idea with the tftp program. I'll give it a whirl.
