Linksys BEFW11S4 v.3 and PPTP outgoing mail problem

HI!

I use a ISP (wireless) into my house, and connect the router by a Lucent
TP-converter. I set up my connection with PPTP, and off I go

I can surf OK, play Counter-Strike and receive mail.. send mail as well,
but _not_ with an attachment. As soon as I send something bigger then a
txt-mail, everything stop.

I got a mail from Linksys, where they told me to disable "Block WAN
request" and forward the mail-ports.. nothing helps. As soon as I put my
TP cable in my computer, from the TP converter, everything works great.

I also tried to change the MTU size, acording to the FAQ on Linksys
web-site. No help.

My ISP tells me that this is a bug in Linksys routers.. and at this time
only can be solved with a static IP.. which I can't get.

I run the latest SW 1.45.

W2K SP4 all fixes.

I'm sorry if this is a known issue, but I "read" thrue the last 500 post
in the NG, without finding any simular problem.

I also disable the WLAN in the router, since I only use one PC now.

This PPTP problem was solved, by using software with this version-info
Firmware Date : February 12, 2003
Current Firmware : Version 1.44.3 European
Product PartNo : BEFW11S4 ver.2/ver.3 European units only

So all you US ppl with the same problem, can't probably use this. I was
told by Linksys that the latest version was released because of US ISP
PPTP problems.. so check your v. info
