I think you're talking about the MAC Address of the router, which is a
Hex Decimal number. That number is located on a plate that in under the
router.
All devices that are used to access a network have a MAC number that is
unique on your network. The network card, modem and router have MAC
Addresses. With your account with your ISP, they linked the MAC Address
of the modem, and before you got the router, the MAC of one of your
computer network cards to your account.
