I'm looking for someone who has successfully implemented Linksys BEFVP41 in a
Windows XP environment. I'm wondering about difficulties that may present
with NAT routers in the communications path and with a roving Windows XP
client computer whose IP address changes with each connection. Linksys
provides an example in their Knowledge Base on how to setup the VPN router
with a pre-shared key: perfect for my implementation. I'm fairly certain
that I have used secpol.msc to correctly configure IPSec on the client
computer. I believe nobody has thought to state that the computer must be
rebooted before the IPSec configuration changes go into effect. Anyone who
has successfully implemented this device is welcome to chime in with my
thanks.
