Linksys BEFSR41 file sharing

G'day all,
I am just a simple working bloke with little pc knowledge....

I have 2 computers connected to the internet via a Linksys BEFSR41 router.

internet / Optus cable modem / Linksys BEFSR41 router / 2 computers. this
is and has been working fine for 6 months I set it up following the
instructions provided with the router.

But now I want to share files between the 2 computers connected via the
router.. The instructions that came with the router does not explain how do
do this, I have Googled but have not found a reasonable "easy" explanation
of how do do this?

So can any one point me to a website on this?

I should point out both pc's are using WIN XP with all the services packs
and updates...

Google "file sharing windows xp" (no quotes) and you will find tons of
easy-to-follow steps to share files over a LAN.

offers an a-z description of xp file-sharing along with configuration
instructions and troubleshooting advice. Once you've set it up, chances
are pretty good that you won't have to troubleshoot for some time, if
ever.
