Has anyone got any ideas on this problem?
After about 10 mins my Zen broadband connection drops out, I’ve
tried two USB modems (different makes) and two PC's but the same thing
happens.
I’ve talked to Zen and they tested the line and its Ok.
Any pointers on how to fault find would be gratefully received.
Rob

I think it's a USB issue, I had the same thing happen to me and have seen
similar problems elsewhere.
When I got BB I bought a Speedtouch router intending to use USB on my PC and
leave the ethernet connection for future expansion into a wireless system.
The connection was irregular and when it went off, the router shows the line
was still synchronised, but my PC couldn't connect. A reboot would sort it
out, but you don't wan't to be doing that 5 or 6 times a day.

One issue seems to be the quality of the USB on your motherboard, some are
better than others in the power department. Some people have solved this
issue by connecting their modem via a powered USB hub.

I sorted the problem by installing an Ethernet PCI card and using the
Ethernet connection on the router.

A bit of a long shot, but worth trying:

Turn off power saving on the usb ports/bridges.

Goto device manager, select the USB device, select properties, goto power
management tab, untick 'Allow the computer to save power.....'

Do this for the Modem and any hubs/bridges
