You've got a wide choice.
First off, you can use the built-in network support in X. You don't need any
special software to do this - just the xauth or xhost commands (to give the
remote system permission to display on your local display), and a
network-enabled X server on your local system.
If that's not acceptable, then you can install VNC for Linux.
There are other options available as well; some X desktops support protocols
similar to the MSWindows desktop sharing protocols, as well as all the X
network protocols.
Take your pick and name your poison ;-)
